Tai Chi / Qi Gong Returns to Village

Ancient practice helps increase flexibility, energy

ree

Lions Bay Senior's Social Circle is once again sponsoring the return of Tai Chi/Qi Gong practice in the Village this fall.

"Qi Gong and Tai Chi offer rejuvenating exercises that help improve your calm, strength, balance, flexibility and overall well-being," says long-time practitioner Carole Conlin.

Tai Chi /Qi Gong fusion classes will begin on Tuesday September 9 at Lions Bay Village Hall.

Conlin says that everyone (age 19+) is welcome, including newcomers to Lions Bay and beginners. "It is a supportive group to help you challenge your body and mind, and we welcome adults at all levels to join us," she says. No previous experience is necessary.

The session will run for 12 weeks on Tuesdays from September 9 to December 2 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. There will be no class on November 11. Tea is available from 10:50 a.m.

Cost is $120, and registration is required. Payment can be made by e-transfer to lbseniorssocialcircle@gmail.com or on the first day of class by cash or cheque to LBSSC.

For questions or more information, email: lbseniorssocialcircle@gmail.com or call Carole at 604-562-2204.
