Celebrating PRIDE

June launches a season of rainbows

Here at The Watershed, we celebrate Pride all year long, with rainbow hearts flying loud and proud on our masthead. Historically, June is the month in which 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and allies celebrate Pride.

However, here in the Canada, June only marks the start of Pride season, so you can expect Pride events to pop up all over throughout the summer and into September.

Here are a few suggestions for events to add to your calendar:

How will you celebrate Pride?

Thanks for being an ally! The Association for Mining Exploration (AME) put on a pride event at the Britannia Mine Museum this past weekend called “Old Town New Queens”. It was a really fun event celebrating industrial and queer culture in the same space. Worth promoting next year 🤓
