Internationally acclaimed Argentine pianist, composer, and producer Gabriel Palatchi returns to Lions Bay this month with an intimate solo piano concert.

Palatchi will be performing pieces from his latest album Piano Sin Fronteras / Piano Without Borders. This is his eighth album, and his first featuring solo piano. Palatchi says the album is meaningful to him, as it represents more than 35 years of playing piano, composing, traveling, and absorbing music from different cultures around the world.

The featured pieces represent different places and experiences from the artist's life, and include Latin jazz, tango, Argentine, Middle Eastern, Cuban and other world music influences.

This is Palatchi's third visit to Lions Bay and his first as a solo performer. He says he is looking forward to his return to the Village. "It is always meaningful to come back to a place where the audience is open, warm, and truly listening," he says.

A glimpse of Patatchi's earlier performances in Lions Bay can be seen here in 2018, and in 2019.

Palatchi is a storyteller, and his performances offer a unique view into his life on the road, with a taste of his Argentine roots, coupled with his visits to Cuba, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Latin America and more. His work has been featured in Rolling Stone and Billboard magazines, and he is a Global Music Awards Gold Medal recipient.

The upcoming performance is the featured element of a Lions Bay House Concerts Music + Arts event at 7 p.m. on June 17 at the Village Hall. Tickets are available HERE.
