October's Coastal Canine a bit of a hot dog

It's spooky season, but if you're wandering through the trails around the Village and come upon this little hot dog, never fear!

Phoebe is a 15-month old bundle of energy who has never met a mountain she can't climb.

Lions Bay is the only home she has ever known, and when it comes to adventure, this Wiener never wilts. When it's time for an outing, she's first on the trails and relishes hikes that would finish other dogs (and often their owners).

Earlier this summer, she took on the Tunnel Bluffs hike, and cut the mustard like a champ. But at home or on the trails, one look into those big, liquid eyes, and she captures the heart of everyone she meets.

Phoebe loves people and other dogs (especially her big sister Millie), and is never happier than when investigating all the new scents on Centennial Trail or leaping into the waves at Kelvin Grove dog park.

Like any good Wiener, she loves being paired with fries and chips, but is also partial to a dog treat now and then. Her people say she never misses a car ride, especially if she gets to visit the farm, where she excels at fetching sticks and balls.

After a day filled with excitement, she loves nothing better than to burrow under the covers at night.

And for Halloween?

We'll take an all-dressed hot dog to go, Phoebe!
