September's Coastal Canine is one happy new Canadian

Editor's Note: September's Coastal Canine got bumped into October thanks to duelling election coverage. We will be back on track with October's feature later this week!

September's Coastal Canine is a landed immigrant on these shores, have been born in the far-off wilds of Lancashire, UK. After a long journey, he briefly made his home in Alberta before landing in his forever home on the coast.

Max (formal name: Maximus) loves a walk in the woods — or anywhere, really— but his favourite destination is the beach. He is especially fond of the dog beach at Kelvin Grove.

After returning home from every walk, Max insists on being presented a carrot, as is his due. He is also fond of ice cream in any form, especially on his birthday.

Max comes from a proud line of Coastal Canines, as his younger sister Pippa wore the crown (in her case, a pair of antlers) last Christmas. (We're also glad that Pippa has taught Max patience, as he's had to wait a few weeks for his time in the spotlight, due to the double-election coverage.)

We're happy to share a pup cup with you any time, Max!
