'Citizen Satisfaction' Survey closes February 27

The Village of Lions Bay launched a new initiative this week with a 'Citizen Satisfaction Survey', a 40-plus page online endeavour to gather insight into resident priorities.
"The survey provides residents with an opportunity to share their views on a wide range of municipal services, programs, and initiatives," said Chief Administrative Officer Ross Blackwell. He added that the completed survey will help the Municipality understand what is working well, where improvements are needed, and what matters most to the community.
Blackwell says that the results will allow staff and Council to better understand the perspectives of residents, and will help guide planning and delivery of services such as infrastructure, budgeting and environmental initiatives.
The survey (which can be found HERE) poses more than 40 questions that residents should expect to take half an hour or so to complete.
Some residents have expressed concern that the format of the survey doesn't allow residents time to read through and gather their thoughts before responding, however Blackwell says all responses "will be carefully analyzed by staff and used to inform service planning, budget decisions, and long-term strategies."
There is also a place near the end of the survey where residents can note comments or suggestions.
The survey will be available online throughout the month, closing on February 27. Blackwell encourages all residents to participate.
"Meaningful public engagement is essential to building a resilient, responsive, and connected community. Participating in the survey is a simple but powerful way for residents to have their voices heard and contribute to the ongoing improvement of municipal services."
The survey can also be accessed online until February 27 HERE, and also via the QR Code, below.
