Remembering Helen

A special anniversary celebration

Helen Ana Nogatch was born in 1937 and lived in Lions Bay for more than 50 years, until her death in July, 2024. She is remembered by family, friends and neighbours for her kindness, generosity and keen sense of humour.

On the anniversary of her death, her children would like to invite residents of Lions Bay to the dedication of a memorial bench in Helen's name on Centennial Trail.

Helen's son Julien extends the following invitation:

Dear Friends of Helen Nogatch,

Please join us to celebrate our mom’s bench dedication on Sunday July 20. We hope to share a little time together to reflect on mom’s life, in a peaceful and natural setting. Please share this invitation (and the new video link below) with any of mom’s friends. If you would like to visit mom’s bench on another day on your own, please feel free to do that as well. I know my mom would be happy you came to say hello, and welcome you with open arms and a smile.

Details:

Sunday July 20 (one year)

1:30 p.m. Lions Bay Elementary School Gravel Parking lot (Free to park on weekends).

2:00 p.m. Mom’s Dedication Bench

Location:

There is a staircase at the gravel parking lot, the bench is located two minutes down the stairs and to the right at Reflection Loop on Centennial Trail. As the stairs may be a little challenging for some, directly across the field there is a more gradual trail with no stairs. You may want to come with a friend, or bring a folding chair or hiking sticks.

We look forward to seeing you, and to remember our loving mom, Helen.

Replying to

That is true. Norma. So, it would make sense to walk to the event to remember Helen in this special way.
