Meet Adventurous Akira

April's Coastal Canine knows what he wants

Akira is a 10-year-old Siberian Husky who knows what he wants.

Feel like a little attention? He'll tap the closest human on the hand or the leg. An alert sit on the kitchen rug means a snack should be due in short order. And stationing himself bedside first thing in the morning can mean only one thing: it's time to go out!

Akira was adopted by his family during Covid when he was about four. He quickly trained his people into understanding the importance of raw salmon and frozen sardines to a balanced diet. His family say while his tastes may be particular, his heart will always melt at the sight of dehydrated meat of any variety.

This big boi enjoys the company of most people, and is especially fond of visitors. He will often greet passers-by them from his favourite vantage point on the family deck.

Akira's got a noble profile, but he can also curl up in a very small ball when he's feeling cosy.

Time for a sardine, Akira!
