Campfire Ban

The Coastal Fire Centre of British Columbia has enacted a campfire ban in all areas except Haida Gwaii. All categories of open burning are now subject to the ban until further notice. Further information can be found HERE.


Council Meeting

Council has announced a Committee of the Whole meeting to be held May 12 at 6 p.m., to be followed by a Special Council meeting at 7:30 p.m.


News Updates

  • Have you completed the 2026 Census? If not, details can be found HERE. It's due by tomorrow, May 12.

  • A West Vancouver School district representative reports that the vehicle abandoned in the Lions Bay School parking lot was towed by the district in the last week of April.

  • Residents of Mountain, Sunset and Timbertop are invited to a Evacuation Plan meeting by Emergency Program Coordinator Mary Brown on May 31 from 1-3 p.m. Watch for flyers around the neighbourhood or contact kcdyer@shaw.ca for more details. (Mary is looking for other neighbourhoods interested in learning about the new evacuation plans. Contact mbrown@lionsbay.ca to learn more.)
