A joyful, ephemeral, completely one-of-a-kind evening
When Tio Chorinho takes to the stage on August 3, they'll be sharing their music surrounded by a unique art installation inside Lions Bay's Village Hall.
An eclectic selection of artists from Art Vancouver will be in attendance to ensure that this exciting musical event will play out against an unforgettable backdrop.
Tamara Leger, the driving force behind Lions Bay House Concerts, says that the idea for blending music and art came to her back in 2022. Since then, Leger has partnered with Art Vancouver on seven pop-up concert events, blending world-class live music with dynamic visual art.
Leger calls the combination unforgettable and immersive. "Each concert transforms Lions Bay Community Hall into a vibrant, gallery-style venue — where you don’t just watch a show, you live in it," she says.

Founded in 2015, Art Vancouver's mission is to connect international audiences with global galleries and artists, promoting a dynamic space for creatives to network and collaborate while celebrating diversity and talent. Founder and Executive Director Lisa Wolfin handles the Art Vancouver aspect of these shared events.
Wolfin says the artists bring a vibrant visual dimension that complements the music. "Their presence adds energy, colour, and conversation to the atmosphere—turning the concert into a multisensory experience," she says. "Whether through bold abstract pieces or intimate portraits, their work invites connection and sparks curiosity, making the event feel even more special and immersive."
Leger says Wolfin brings a cosmopolitan edge and high-level professionalism to their collaboration. "Her team handles everything from artist coordination to setup, allowing us to focus on the band's soundcheck and creating an overall magical vibe that has flow."
Artists whose work has been featured in past events include Arega Grigoryan, Ryan McMahon: Andrea Ludwig, Sascha Westendorp, Elizabeth Cross, Kevin “Freakshow” O’Quinn, Rose Kendall, Rain Senra-Francois, Lynn Li, Wolfin herself, and the Village's own Monica Gewurz.
"Together, we create evenings that are ephemeral, joyful, and completely one-of-a-kind," says Leger. "Each event features a world class, often award-winning, musical lineup alongside a rotating curated cast of Vancouver-based visual artists — all on site, ready to share their work, connect with the crowd, and energize the space."
Wolfin agrees. “Bringing visual art into a space filled with live music creates such a powerful energy. Art Vancouver’s artists don’t just exhibit—they help set the mood, spark conversation, and turn each event into a full sensory experience. It’s always inspiring to see how art and music together can deepen the connection between people.”
