Cash and carry at Christmas Craft Fair

A long-established tradition continues this weekend with the return of the Lions Bay Christmas Craft Fair on November 22 at the Village Hall.
Sponsored by Lions Bay Arts (LBA) Council, this is the 12th Christmas Fair, which every year marks the beginning of the gift giving season in the community.
Attendees can expect "a warm welcome, a sweet treat, local musicians playing favourite Christmas tunes, and an array of local artisans ready to help you with Santa's list," says organizer Leslie Nolin. Items include hand-made candles, glass jewelry, specialty foods, fresh festive baking, Christmas decorations and more.
For those who want a preview, all the artisans planning to be present can be found on the Arts Council website HERE.
Nolin says that the 2026 LBA calendars will be available, and also returning will be the fresh Christmas door swags. "All of the money raised will be matched by LBA, and then donated to the Squamish Food bank," she adds.
There is no cost to attend the Christmas Craft Fair, though Nolin suggests you bring along your Christmas spirit . . . and some cash.
"LBA is entering 16 years in our community," she says. "It was formed out of the belief that the culture of our community is enhanced by our resident artists, their endeavours and our enjoyment and support of them."
One of LBA's recent endeavours is ArtSpark, where young Lions Bay crafters and artisans learn how to produce art for sale, manage quantity and cash, and sell their own art at the Kids' Corner part of the event.
"It's always a festive and fun event," says Nolin. "Come for a treat, visit with fellow neighbours and peruse our many vendors art for sale. Help us welcome in the Christmas season!"
