A chance for aspiring writers in the village to practise their craft
Aspiring scribes will have a chance to get together and practise their craft right here in the village this fall.
The Lions Bay Arts Council is sponsoring a six-week creative writing group beginning in October and led by author (and Watershed publisher) kc dyer.
Lions Bay Youth Write Club will meet at the Lions Bay Cafe from 4:30-6 p.m. over six 6 Mondays beginning October 28. Cost is $150 for the sessions, which will run through December 2. Young writers will be invited to work on and share their current projects, look at ways to improve their craft and address any questions they might have about taking their work out into the world.
Young writers should bring their favourite writing materials – paper, notebook, laptop etc. Notebooks and pens will be provided for those who want them.
All writers aged 12-19 are invited to join the group. Please come ready to write!
